The EU's legal and policy response to AI will inevitably have a major impact on the ability of researchers and the libraries that support them to make use of the technology to drive progress. The AI in Science Summit in Copenhagen (Denmark) officially launched the Resource for AI in Science in Europe (RAISE) initiative, which seeks to ensure that this impact is positive. KR21 attended, drawing on its analysis of the EU's two recent strategy documents around AI, highlighting in particular the need to put an end to the Union's copyright blindspot in this space.
