The University of Edinburgh Library explores the EU AI Act through its full life cycle, from the lawmaking phase and the copyright implications to its implementation and enforcement, in a free three-part online lecture series this autumn. Session 2, “Copyright and AI: The EU Landscape and What Comes Next,” takes place on Friday, 9 October, 13:00-14:30 BST (14:00-15:30 CEST).

MEP Axel Voss, Rapporteur of the European Parliament’s Report on copyright and Generative AI adopted in March 2026, is set to give a 30-minute talk on where EU policy goes next on training data, transparency, licensing and remuneration, followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A. KR21’s Ben White, national coordinator for the UK, joins the panel.
