The Webinar

This 11th meeting of the community, organised by Knowledge Rights 21 (KR21) partner SPARC Europe, looks at national progress in Norway and Spain through two institutional case studies:

  • Aysa Ekanger and Bror-Magnus Sviland Strand | UiT The Arctic University of Norway, one of Northern Europe’s early adopters
  • Ignasi Labastida i Juan | University of Barcelona, a recent leader in Southern Europe

These presentations are followed by key updates on the work of the Rights Retention in Practice task force, after which community members are invited to share their own experiences, highlight ongoing challenges, and collaborate on practical solutions in an open discussion.

Why You Should Attend

If you work at an academic institution, are a funder, or are an open science policymaker, this session offers an opportunity to learn first-hand how to turn rights retention from ambition into policy, and to share your experiences and questions with a community working through the same challenges across Europe.
